I have just read about an exciting horror film from Germany, one in which you could receive a phone call from the characters and direct the action.
Audience members input their phone numbers at the start of the film and one is selected to receive the call during the film. The character will ask you where to go and what to do and voice recognition software takes what you say and plays the corresponding clip.
This has the potential to bring about a variety of different experiences from the same film and like 3D will provide a unique experience in the cinema. Clearly this will never become the norm but I really hope to one day get to be in an interactive screening. If the killer were to call it might be too much, I am an easy scare as it is.
